Linehaul-only spot rates are dropping

“From April 30 to May 6th, trucking linehaul-only spot rates (7-day moving average) dropped $0.09, from $2.17 to $2.08, making it one of the largest weekly drops since linehaul rates net fuel peaked on January 14, 2022.  This per day drop was one of the largest one-week drops in the index and at a pace that is almost twice as fast as the average from the peak set on January 14th at $3.01/mile. In the 113 days since the peak, the spot linehaul-only index has dropped $.93.”
