With over 20 years of experience as a Buyer and Manager for several large retailers, I have developed a diverse skill set in both soft lines and hard lines. My career began after graduating from Post University in Connecticut with a degree in Fashion Merchandising.
During my tenure in retail, I successfully managed multi-million-dollar budgets, negotiated favorable contracts with suppliers, and led teams to exceed sales targets consistently. I was recognized as the Accomplished Sales Manager of the District multiple times for achieving year-over-year growth and profit. My strategic approach and keen market insights enabled me to streamline operations and enhance profitability.
After relocating to North Carolina, I took on the role of Manager at Accurate Background, where I oversaw employee verification services. In this role, I implemented process improvements that reduced verification times by 30% and increased customer satisfaction.
My journey then led me to Leland, where I joined Summit Logistics Group as the Assistant to the Director of Operations. In this capacity, I played a key role in optimizing logistics processes and improving operational efficiency.
Currently, I serve as the Treasury Manager at Summit Logistics Group, leading the billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and human resources teams. Under my leadership, the billing accuracy rate improved by 25%, and I spearheaded initiatives that reduced accounts receivable days outstanding by 15%.
